Private or semi-private lessons are defined as specialized lessons for any individual or small group: up to 4 people. Semi-private lessons (2-4 people) are priced under the same pricing plan as private lessons. Semi-private students split the cost of a lesson- price is per lesson, not per student. Pricing for private lessons is by the hour, week, or month, and may include travel fees if applicable. The monthly fee assumes one lesson per week. More private lessons per week may be negotiated with Halee, and pricing for these lessons can be discussed privately. Prices usually go down by the hour as students sign up for more hours. Standard pricing is listed below. All payment is due via cash or check prior to lessons. No private lessons will be taught without receipt of payment.
When are private lessons recommended? Performers new and old alike can benefit from private lessons. The whole idea: We cater to YOU. Students starting out later in life and yet wanting to avoid being placed awkwardly in a younger class will benefit greatly from private lessons. Recommended for performers who aspire to be the greatest in their art, and also for performers who may have some catching up to do, private lessons are a good idea for any performer looking for one-on-one attention that just can't be given in a regular class environment. Private lessons will move at the pace of the individual. The curriculum of private lessons will be customized to the student(s) by and with Halee, and the student will leave each lesson with Halee's detailed notes to review and practice with at home.
Curriculum (customizable) can be chosen from the following topics… and more. If you do not see your topic of study, simply ask Halee if that is something she teaches. (You’d be surprised by what we’ve done in the past.) Also, levels of difficulty may vary. Though Halee is highly trained in the performing arts, and an advanced instructor in most genres, she will only teach levels at which she is more-than-proficient. If your needs as a student exceed her qualifications as a teacher, Halee can arrange or recommend another instructor for you who is an expert in your desired field of study.
